Early Tuesday QOTD
I'm posting the Tuesday QOTD a little early since I probably won't be home till late tomorrow......
Do you ever picture how things will be different when a baby comes along? (Sorry, I just realized this is more geared toward those trying for #1!! ) ......... For example- DH and I are VERY silly..... .we can joke around a lot and act pretty goofy . Do you ever feel like you'll be forced to be more serious when you have a baby?
I feel like if that's the case, I will miss these silly carefree times! But of course, I DO still want a baby!!
I will also miss waking up on a Saturday morning and having the weekend totally be OURS! I love that we can do things on the spur of the moment- go out for a nice dinner, shop, whatever..... nobody to care about but each other!
Yes, I want a baby (actually, 3!!) but I will miss the good old days.... the carefree days, just DH and I
Anyone else?
(edited for spelling)

Re: Early Tuesday QOTD
We think about it all the time. DH and I have lazy weekends, where we don't get out of bed until noon most times. We think about a crying baby and not being able to do whatever we want, whenever we want, but we still want a baby badly. This will be our first month officially TTCing.

Sure. We love to travel, and I know that'll be harder with a . We're probably going to have to trade in some little luxuries, like going out to dinner. But I'm not worried about it.
And to the OP - you're probably going to have to be SILLIER when you have a baby. Try not to worry

Re: Early Tuesday QOTD
I think about how we will get a lot less sleep, and how we won’t be able to go out to dinner as often, and how we will have a lot less money. But we also talk about how we will love cuddling with our DC, instead of just the two of us it will be the three of us. DH and I are really silly and I think that’s going to get worse when we have kids – not better I feel like our silliness is going to be amplified when we have kids – since having kids kinda allows you to do all those fun kid things that you’re not supposed to like – like watching cartoons and singing songs and dancing silly. I think that’s half the fun of becoming a parent – suddenly it’s socially acceptable to act like a kid again when you are doing it to amuse your kids!!

good point about being silly becoming socially acceptable again!!!
Although, I vow not to be one of those parents who does the baby talk extra loud to get the attention of others around them within a 200 ft radius

Re: Early Tuesday QOTD
feel like our silliness is going to be amplified when we have kids -------------------------------------------------------- I agree! My DH and I are so goofy together and I think we're just going to get moreso with a child.
I'm going to miss sleeping through the night, but neither of us are late sleepers--if we make it to 8 on a weekend, we're thrilled! As for date nights and all that. I'm sure at first we won't get as much time together, but we have 2 sets of parents who live very close by and CAN'T wait to babysit, so we'll definitely be taking advantage.

Re: Early Tuesday QOTD
we also think and talk about this.. we got a new puppy a few months so ago so that has really woken us up to reality!! We will and do miss sleeping as late as we want and also are reminded we can't just think about ourselves anymore... however we totally over communicate now and set aside time for dates (-: so both puppy and soon to be baby are worth it!
