Eastern Nassau / Western Suffolk Folks - Please Recommend Your Granite Place
My mom is in the process of redoing her kitchen ( ) and is looking for a good place for her granite. The place DH and I used is in Jamaica and won't travel out to Suffolk, unfortunately.
She lives in North Babylon so anywhere near there I guess is good.
TIA

The place we are probably going with is K & V on Route 109 in Farmingdale. We also met with Granite Emporium on Route 110 in Farmingdale (I think that's where it is). We also checked out G.T. Marble in Islandia, right on the service road of the LIE. Personally, we found each place to be about the same price overall.

We used E & S grainte in Farmingdale right behind 110 and they were knowledgable and we picked our slab. The price was the best that we found.

Re: Eastern Nassau / Western Suffolk Folks - Please Recommend Your Granite Place
My former co-worker's husband owns this place:
Ispica Marble Granite & Tile 4122 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, NY 11769 (631) 563-9301
I would've used them but they didn't have the type of granite I was looking for. I've heard they do nice work.

Is it one they had in their warehouse, or would you have to pick it out at a granite yard? Its cheaper if you buy their stock.
I wanted blue pearl (which they stock) They had it for $60PSF. I went to HD ($95 PSF) Lowes ($100 PSF) and two other granite stores (both $100 PSF).
And they were very fast - less than two weeks it was installed.

Yeah, it was from the warehouse, but we didn't look at HD or Lowe's. The 3 other granite places we looked at we're $70PSF while GE was $65PSF but the other places didn't charge for edging or anything.
The Blue Pearl is so pretty. Bet it looks beautiful in your kitchen!

Re: Eastern Nassau / Western Suffolk Folks - Please Recommend Your Granite Place
Different colors of granite have different price ranges........but the type granite DH and I loved, found Granite Emporium in Farmingdale to be the cheapest as well.
About $20 per sq.foot difference in price. We will probably get it there.
