Easy and good dinner ideas for a lot of pple
Don't want to do ziti, but want to make something really good, but has to be easy since I'm not the best cook. I do easy recipes for my family, but for entertaining I usually do ziti, chili, grill or we bring in. I am just not 100% confident with lots of my cooking so I go to recipes without a ton of steps. LOL!
Anyway, any ideas? My mom is a fantastic cook so since she is over we usually work together. I just wanted to start the idea and get the ingredients.
Thanks!

How about a taco bar? You can do ground beef and chicken, shells, lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, guacamole, salsa, chips, etc... That's always a fun crowd pleaser.

how about sicilian rice ball casserole or manicotti filled with ricotta and spinach? My mom always make these when we have people over. Delish!

Fried chicken cutlets are always a crowd-pleaser. You could make mashed potatoes or a pasta on the side. You could do penne with garlic, oil and broccoli since you mentioned you don't want to make baked ziti, or ravioli with marinara sauce.

Spiral ham is super easy and feeds a ton. Same for pulled pork if you want something more casual. Pork tenderloin, although it's not my favorite. Lasagna, tacos, sausage and peppers.

Re: Easy and good dinner ideas for a lot of pple
I like this recipe, it makes a lot of sauce, you could easily make 1.5lbs of pasta for the amount of sauce it makes. And if you are afraid of spice just use sweet sausage. I have made trays of this for parties and it is a hit.
Spicy rigatoni with Argula
Another one which doubles nicely and is good for a large crowd Farfalle with sausage, tomatoes and cream
Also like this Honey Mustard Pork

Re: Easy and good dinner ideas for a lot of pple
For yesterdays Sunday dinner, I did crock pot chili with chili bar, rice, cheddar, scallions, sour cream and crock pot pulled pork with rolls and homemade cole slaw. I also had turkey soup. That was for about 20 people. We usually have a do some type of baked pasta (ziti, shells, etc), a ham, roast beef, roasted potatoes and veggie but since its been cold, I wanted to do something different!

Marinated pork tenderloins. you can get a few of them for pretty cheap, and they only take like 20 mins in the oven.

Re: Easy and good dinner ideas for a lot of pple
I like to make penne a la vodka ( I use Rachel Ray's, not single for long vodka sauce recipe) but I "grill" marinated chicken breasts first then add the shallots to the pan that I made the chicken in and I start the recipe. I also add a bag if frozen peas at the end.
Chicken Parmesan is another recipe I will make with roasted potatoes and string beans.
Meatloaf ( I use ground turkey) with mash potatoes, corn and brocolli.
Chicken pot pie.... I use the pills bury flakey biscuits if I don't have time to make the dough for the crust. I will make the pot pie according to the recipe but serve in individual bowls with biscuit on top. I use Ina Garten's recipe and for the chicken I will use rotisserie chicken (2). Pork tenderloin roast

Re: Easy and good dinner ideas for a lot of pple
For pasta I would do stuffed shells or raviolis and for quick best tasting sauce use jarred Raos brand.
I like the spiral ham idea and would do oven roasted seasoned potatoes with it.
Chicken francese. I'm making this tomorrow using this recipe Chicken francese

Sausage, onion and potatoes-super easy slice sausage links into coins, thinly slice onions and then slice peeled potatoes. Mix in a roasting pan-cook until potatoes are soft and sausage is thoroughly cooked and brown.
