Eating Breakfast and Lunch at daycare now.. I have some questions for Daycare moms about scheduling
So DS is 9 months old and has refused any and all pureed foods.
So now daycare is feeding BF adn Lunch. (my daycare provides the foods and snacks and don't let you bring in your own food.)
His schedule has totally changed b/c of the timing of when they serve the food.
For Ex: He used to eat BF at 9:30 (which was pureed fruit and cereal)
Now BF is at 8:45..very early for him.. so they said he didn't eat a lot of it. (He eats a 7oz bottle when he wakes up at 6:30)
Lunch was usually at 1:30(which was yogurt and pureed veggie) Now it's at 11:30! (he is eating that fine though apparently)
So now he is getting his yogurt as an afternoon snack to hold him over until dinner i guess.
He gets two bottles there two.One about an hour after breakfast and one about an hour and 1/2 after lunch.
So I guess Im asking.. will he adjust to this new eating schedule or should I make a fuss about feeding him later.. but then I think.. "well there are other 1 year olds that had to adjust to eating early too right".
IDK..just fee like it's such a drastic time difference in his eating schedule??? WDYT?

Oh... those daycares and there schedules
That's my fear with the new daycare Mason is going to in NJ. My thoughts... he'll just have to adjust. Give it a few days and see what happens. If it's still a struggle then I'd talk to the teacher or Director about it.

I think he will adjust. My dd now has a bottle when we get there around 8 and breakfast a little before 9, and lunch is 11:30, then nap. Then at around 2:30 they have snack, that's when she gets her second bottle.
She used to have 2 naps, 3 bottles and breakfast and lunch at different times, but has adjusted well...and I try to get as close to it as i can on the weekends to not throw her off.

He will totally adjust and on the weekends you will have to as well. DD goes to daycare everyday. She eats breakfast at 7:00-7:30, lunch at 11:30, snack at 2:30-3 (depends on when she wakes up from nap) and dinner at 5:30. Her body totally knows the time too. On the weekends at 7am she runs over to her highchair because she's hungry. Same thing for lunch, snack and dinner.

Right so I'll have to continue that on the weekends too!! I would've forgotten to do that. I hate that I think he is being "forced" (for lack of a better term) to eat when not hungry!

Sean's sched was almost exactly the same - and he adjusted to Daycare's 8/8:30 Bkfst time and 11:30/12 Lunch time just fine -
I readjusted based on what he got used to there - and he's only there 3 days a week!

Yeah, but then he'll totally adjust. Mason used to get his bottle around 6AM b4 we left for daycare. I pushed it to 7AM so that he got it at daycare to make it easier on all of us. Now if he gets up earlier (weekends or weekdays) we just play for a bit and I'll still wait till 7 unless he's really hungry. Other than that he's totally fine and once 7ish hits he knows and will start whining for the bottle.

I originally was very controlling about the feeding schedule but then I realized that the daycare schedule was better for my child and followed what they did.
Trust me....just go with it...and I tried to mimic it on weekends too. I think it actually winds up helping us moms
