Eating machine
anyone else eating non-stop? I feel like I am never full and when I am full I am uncomfortable full where it hurts. I try to eat protein to fill me up (I used to be a healthy eater) but now I just eat basically everything. Donuts, cake whatever I want. I have gained about 20 lbs at 25 wks and feel like that is too fast and going to continue for the next 15 wks and I'm really worried about losing it after the baby. I guess I just need to know if anyone else is always hungry like this. Is this normal? I wonder if I am eating bc of anxiety, I have had an easy pg so far and now can't sleep at night due to back pain and it's really wearing on me because my workload has like tripled in the past 2 months. Maybe I just needed to vent. I thought I had this pg thing down and now I feel like I am losing it. As great as my DH is, he doesn't really understand what it's like and I have no one else to talk to. anyway thanks for listening to me whine.

Re: Eating machine
Don't worry...I go through phases where i could eat my home...and then i eat normally...I had gained 18 by week 20 and my doctor made me feel badly about it...but i was reassured here that it was normal :) I try to balance myself more now though. Like i stopped eating a bagel at breakfast followed by another at lunch...I try to have whole wheat toast and fruit instead for breakfast...and a healthier lunch..
BUT if you don't indulge in cravings every once in a while, you'll go nuts and eat everything in sight!! So relax...enjoy your pregnancy and maybe just try to make little changes here and there. Making small changes really do help!! By taking away the bagel in the morning i cut out 300 calories i do feel better!!

Re: Eating machine
Ohh please don't feel bad about your eating We are pregnant, our bodies are acting so differenly on us. When you need to eat - EAT!
I had such bad morning sickness for so long, that when I finally got an appetite it felt like I could not stuff enough food in my mouth quick enough. I have days where I can eat and eat and I never feel satisfied or full. Then I have days where I just can eat normally and be OK with that.. it balances itself out for the most part ...
I'm also craving tons of JUNK... I was such a good eater before getting pregnant, I was working out and dieting, and now its all gone to hell. I try to eat veggies and fruit but then I follow it up with ice cream and chips . I eat so many carbs its ridiculous! But I try not to worry, because I know that it'll level off and I'll get this weight off post-baby!
Dont be hard on yourself, eat when you need to!! Especially if you are stressing at work, the last thing you need to worry about is gaining weight ... so take care & Feel better

I find it so hard to believe that one day soon I will be able to eat again.
