EBF moms that work - WWYD?
While I was on maternity leave I built up a really good freezer stash which I believe is only good for about 4 months. Since I returned to work I also pump 2x throughout the day. I am able to pump out tomorrows bottles to send to daycare throughout my work day.
Here's my question: Would you start to give DS the freezer stash so it doesnt go bad or give him the fresh BM from the day before? I know the fresher it is the better it is for him. I would hate to see it go bad but I'd rather give him the fresh milk.

I also had a huge freezer supply and I would just start using the oldest frozen milk and freezing the fresh milk. I am assuming you are also nursing so he will be getting fresh milk that way.
IMO do not waste the milk you already saved up.

I froze the new stuff and defrosted the older stuff. I had it all grouped in the freezer by month so it was easier to access the older milk. I didn't want to waste any and was afraid it would go bad if I left in the freezer for too long

Same thing happened to me. I would mix it up. Give some frozen bottles and some fresh throughout the day while I was at work. This way he was getting both. I was able to "catch up" with my freezer supply so that nothing was about to "expire" and would freeze the fresh that I wasn't using.
