Moms who EBF and returned to work at 12 weeks

I want to BF DD until she is 6 months. I will return to work when she is 3 months old.

I can pump at my job like 3-4 times per day. I will BF her once in the morning and then once or twice at night.

Do you think this will be enough to keep up my milk supply?

Absolutely. I went back at 12 weeks as well. My goal was to pump 3x per day at work. Even though I have my own private office with a lock on the door I never seemed to manage 3x per day, and DD is now 11 months and we're still going with the EBF.

Yep, you should do fine. I pumped 3x a day at work and breastfed 2 or 3x a day and BF DS for a year -- I never had to supplement.

You can do it! It's not easy but you can!

I went back at 7 weeks and just weaned DS at 21 months!

Yes. Just make sure that whatever number of feedings she gets per day while you are at work, you must also pump that much also. Then you'll be fine.

How many times will she have a feeding while you are at work?

DD is almost EBF (she gets one feeding of formula) and as long as I pump the same times she has a bottle, then I can keep up my supply.

Absolutely. I pumped 3xs a day at work and never supplimented with formula. I work FT and am just about to hit the 18 month mark w/ BFing.

I think pumping that many times in an 8 hour workday will definitely keep your supply up.

I BF DS once in the AM & once in the PM. I pump after each of those. And I pump only 1 time at work.

DS gets 3 bottles while I am at work and because I only pump once, I have to supplement with 12 ounces of formula a day.

I am disapointed that I can't do more, but I just don't have that luxury at my job.

So you should be fine if you can pump 3-4 times day at work!! You'll make it work!
