Ectopic or something else? UPDATE!
Hi everyone..
Just wanted to get your advise.. Here is a little background:
I'm 5 weeks pregnant after medicated IUI.
First beta a week ago was 34, 2 days later my beta was 99.
So far, I've felt fine but today I was laying on the grass on my stomach with my dog and when I got up, I got like the worst pain ever.. It's not in one particular place, it's my entire lower abdomen. It feels either like bad gas pains or like I just did 1000 crunches!
I also feel nauseous.. I went to the bathroom because I thought I had to throw up and when I started coughing, inliterally felt like I was going to pop! I don't know how to explain it besides that..
It hurts when I sit down and then stand up.. Is this normal? Could it be an ectopic if my numbers are increasing nicley?
I don't want to go to the hospital but I also don't want to ignore it if something's wrong..
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Update: So the pain ended up subsiding around 11pm Saturday night, the RE said to come in Sunday only if I still felt the pain. I had my first sono today and all looks great! It turns out I have an 80mm cyst on my left ovary and that what was causing the pain!!! He said that it will not interfere with the baby and that it should start to shrink in the next few weeks.. Thanks for everyone's advice!

call you RE. it could be ectopic even with normal numbers. but it could also be something completely different. your best bet is to call and see what they say, it cant hurt.  feel better!

Definitely call ur doc to be in the safe side. It could be other things besides ectopic but u shouldn't take the chance.

Thanks girls! I called my RE and I'm waiting for a
Call back. Hopefully I can just go see him in the morning and not have to go to the ER. The pain is definitely subsiding.. I just got up to pee and it felt much better then the last time i got up.
Maybe I overreacted, it's my first pregnancy and I suffer from anxiety as it is so I think I just need to learn how
To cope with my changing body. I'll keep you guys posted.

if its NOT ectopic it sounds like round ligament pain....plus i also had the crunches feeling in the beginning...like i was in a sit up contest...sooo achy..
but i wouldnt let it rest until i saw the doc to make sure...gl!

This is what I thought of too. I got this from early on when i tried to roll over in bed too quickly.
I'd definitely call the dr though.

I'm glad it was just a cyst! That's great news!!! I had the same thing happen when I was first pregnant. I would have sworn it was ectopic because it was really painful on my right side, but it turned out to be a 4 cm cyst. Such a relief!
