Egg retrieval tomorrow
Hello,
Tomorrow is my first egg retrieval! I'm super excited/anxious. Any advice? Is it really painful?
Also, my ET is scheduled for Saturday and that night I have a wedding to go to. What's the aftermath of the ET like? Will I even make it to the wedding? Lol

ER wasn't bad. I felt worse the day after then the day off. And that was mainly pressure and bloating.
No advice on ET because mine isnt until Thursday.

Egg retrieval tomorrow
I stayed at home the day of my ET just cuddled up with DH. I didnt want to do anything to disturb them implanting. I know the dr said bed rest is not necessary but I didnt want to chance anything.

I was crampy after the ER and slept a lot after the anesthesia. The day after I was really crampy. Tylenol and a heating pad off and on on low is ok, and it helped me.
The ET is just like an IUI. I didn't have any pain or discomfort after. First ET i went about my day to day. Second ET I just relaxed after. Not many REs believe in bedrest anymore, but i agree...I didn't want to take a chance either.

I felt fine the day of the retrieval but was very bloated for 2-3 days after. Walking and drinking lots of water helped.
I had my embryo transfer today and I feel perfectly fine. My doctor requires bed rest for 2 days after ET but I've heard of plenty of women who didn't do bed rest and still had no issues. I think you will be fine.

good luck! I always felt some bad cramps later on that day after my meds wore off but i always got through it…….gatorade helps!

First off, I'm so glad I found this site....it's so nice to be able to talk to people with similar situations
The ER went great. I truly love LI IVF they are amazing! I feel great too! no pain just mild cramps. They were able to retrieve 5 wonderful follicles! I am going through minimal stimulation IVF so this is a good number for what we were told to expect.
Tomorrow we'll get the fertilization report. I'll keep everyone posted

Egg retrieval tomorrow
I went to open school night the night of my transfer, and went to work the next day and then coached a game. I ended up pregnant, I believe it helped that I didn't sit home and think about it.
But of course whatever makes you comfortable, I tried to think if this was happening naturally I wouldn't even know and I'd go about my life as is.
