Eggs with two yolks...is this a conspiracy??
Just throwing this out there...I bought 18 eggs at my local supermarket last week and almost all of them had double yolks, strangely enough the same week Kim Kardashian Tweeted about eggs with double yolks and today, in the local paper here...an article about a baker who had 29 out of 30 eggs with double yolks....
Is this some kind of fad? What do you think is going on? Its so strange isn't it?
Did this ever happen to you? One or two every once in a while it has happened to me before, but not en masse like this!

I have had it happen before. But it was only once or twice and enver more than one egg in a carton! Sounds like some weird genetic altering going on or something!! lol.

If it was my mom reading your post she'd say "thats because of all the chemicals and hormones they feed to the chickens"
She may have a point considering it was pretty much the entire carton.

yes!!! this happened to me a few months back. it was only a 6 pack carton but EVERY egg had a double yolk. we didn't eat them, we thought it was very strange!

Happened to me last year. I freaked out. Called my mom. She told me it meant someone was PG. 2 weeks later I had a m/c.

I've eaten a lot of eggs with 2 yolks, but never seen more than 1 or 2 in the same carton. Weird.

i had this happen to me once many many years ago.
it's so odd that almost all of your eggs had a double yolk. i would say it's from the chemicals or something that the farmers are giving the chickens.

OMG--I have never heard this before. We had an egg w/ a double yolk a few months ago, and DH's sister called us to tell us she is PG just a few weeks later! Crazy!!!

logically it seems like they give the chickens hormones to lay more eggs, and twin yolks are a side effect?

That is my mother says! And a few weeks ago she found an egg with a double yolk and she wouldnt let me eat it! I think DD is enough for her to handle while I am at work!
