EI evaluation for speech - which agency?
DS is 15 months. h has no words, but babbles, points, and responds to commands, so receptive languauge is there. ped basically said they liek to see at least mama/dada by now, 6-10 words by 18 months, BUT he is not owrried at this point. however, being as EI is there an available, he wuld call around 17-17.5 months to set up an evaluation when ds is 18 months.
ped said they uually recommend Long Island Center for Child Development, tey'r in cedarhurst. anyoneuse them?

DS had no words at 15m and I called EI at 17m. He still had no words at that point. By the time EI met with him (18m), he started talking.
I'd hold off on contacting EI until your DS is 18m old. Our pediatrician told us that kids have a word explosion at 18-24m and he was right.

i also used up wee grow they were excellant I called EI on a monday and the evauater (Lauren I believe) came to my house that wednesday she was so nice and really great with my daughter Soph was about to turn 2 and only had about 30-40 words the ped wanted her to have short sentences by then...anyway I used up wee grow for pt and behavioral I really liked them I also like the fact they came to our house

I used upweegrow.com I thought they were great.
They are fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! I met with Lauren for the 2nd time today. She is AMAZING!
