Embryo storage payment
I received my IVF package and noticed that payment for storage (cryonization) of embryos is due up front. Has anyone had to pay before starting IVF for this? What happens if I don't have any eggs to freeze? I emailed my financial planner, but thought I would ask you ladies first.

Re: Embryo storage payment
Our first quarter of storage was included in our initial IVF price.

Re: Embryo storage payment
Not all insurance companies cover it. Some won't so you have to pay up front. If there is no frozen you get it back.

Re: Embryo storage payment
My insurance didn't cover cryopreservation and I had to pay upfront ($1,155).

That is the same amount we owe.
