Emma's First Birthday Cake (and Dave's 40th)!
once again, we used the AMAZING, SPECTACULAR and INCREDIBLE Kris Cakes (on facebook - Kris Cakes) for Emma's 1st Birhtday Cake (and Dave's 40th cake too).
When she took out the Olivia sculpture (made out of modeling chocolate) - it took everything I had not to just pass out in front of her. I got weepy and was just STUNNED.... i'm STILL trying to figure out how to preserve her....
The flavor of Olivia's cake was strawberry and it was, for lack of a better word, WOW!!!!!
and yes, for Dave - i had a Brobee cake done - he LOVES that dope. I LOVE that she even got the things on his head!!!!! and LOOK at that texture!!!
the flavor for Brobee was Key Lime (dave's FAVE). Everyone was 'nervous' about the flavor - but every single person who took a 'small piece' to taste, wanted more!!!
I promise you - you CANNOT go wrong with Kris - she's a GEM to work with (and bonus - she's related to a member on this site, not me, but a friend - that's how i found her)!!!
I also promise you that they aren't as expensive as you think they are. Email her with an idea & she will HOOK YOU UP!!!!!!!!!!!
She does smash cakes, birthdays, bridal showers, christening cakes & cookies, lollipops, just all amazingly flavored stuff!
I've said it before and will say it again - i am NOT a cake person - but Kris' cakes....they don't last in our fridge.

Tara my friend laura makes similar cakes in NJ. "lucky penney cakes" They are amazing.
