End of lease buyout

My DH's lease is up and we want to pay for the car to keep it. We will not finance it, just pay cash. I called Nissan Motors who we financed through and they told me thta I have to find a bank who will accept the money from me and then buy off lease vechile and be the remitter of the title.

I had no idea what the lady on the phone was talking about so I asked her again and she said in a really nasty tone that I need to listen to her.

Anyone ever been in this situation?

I would go to a dealer. They will be able to help you. When we bought out my DH's lease that's what we did and they were very helpful.

I literally called today about my own lease ending in June.... It wasnt Nissan but the woman never mentioned anything about a bank accepting the money..

when I was going to buy my SUV at the end of the lease

I was told to call the finace company and negioate with them directly

I was also told if I offered cash- they would take less the the buy out price in my contract b/c they don't want the car back

I would say this person didn't know what you were talking about - I would call again

def call back and speak to someone else. I just bought out my car from its lease and the payment went right to mitsubishi motors its prob the same for nissian. I called many times before i got a straight answer.
