My favorite thing about long Island is the different parts...East End, South Shore, North Shore, Western....there's a different feeling and vibe to each area and no place takes you long to get to.

In western NJ now (very close to PA ) but what I miss most about Long Island besides my family of course, is the proximity to the beach!!! Lakes just don't cut it!

My favorite thing about living on long island is being so close to the ocean and being able to take my little girl to the beach all the time. I also love that there are so many places to go and things to as a family to make memories.

My favorite thing about living on Long Island is the ability to teach my children about so many diverse things...we can explore the beach, hike through the forest and navigate the city...all in one day, if we wanted to!

I just moved back after 12 years away. There is no place lile Long Island with the diversity, foods and beaches.

From one end to another, there is so much diversity. From wineries to lighthouses, to city lights and shopping, Long Island has it all (beaches, race track, shopping, activities, small towns/big towns, concert arenas, golfing, etc.). And when a localized crisis occurs (wild fires, natural disasters, etc.) no one responds or shows as much support as Long Islanders do.

Being that I’m originally from Queens, & decided to move to LI to raise our family I can truly appreciate what it means to live on LI. The sense of community is so different than what I was used to. I enjoy that you actually know your neighbors. There are town parades, fairs, festivals, car shows…the list goes on & on. There are mom & pop stores that still exist because the community comes together to make sure they frequent theses places that create the area we live & raise our families in.
