My favorite thing about LI is my family is here! I also like the closeness to the city and the convience of everything being so close. We have great restaurants, stores, doctors, ect.

The accent. Love my LI accent which has been detected all over the world. Even in the Bahamas, someone who lived there came up to me and said do you live in Long Island?

My favorite thing about Long Island is how much we have here available to us. It is such a diverse area. We can go to a completely deserted beach for a relaxing day with the family, go into the city for lots of fun, pick locally grown produce of every sort, take challenging hikes. There is so much to do on Long Island and often times we forget about it all because we get lost in the daily grind, and then we remember and it's like a lost gem that we're rediscovering!

I love the North Fork in the fall. The vineyards, the farmer's markets, the hot corn on the cob... I can't wait for it this year!

My favorite thing about living on Long Island is that the majority of my family is close by! I don't think I could leave really far away from them.

I would LOVE to win those delicious cookies for my son's 1st Holy Communion this May. He's had a pretty rough year and was just diagnosed with a hearing loss...but I digress.
What I LOVE about Long Island is the following:
* Where DH and I bought our first home 15 years ago. Felt like we were really "living the dream".
* Beaches; beach cabanas (friends); summer homes (friends); concerts in the parks; fireworks shows; mansion tours; boat rides; polo tournaments; pool clubs; fishing; pumpkin picking...
The list goes on and on...love Long Island.

My favorite thing about Long Island is the beaches, good pizza, and I love going out east in the fall to go pumpkin picking! (sorry I couldn't choose just 1)

For me the best thing about living on Long Island is being near our family and friends!

My favorite thing about long island is you have the best of both worlds. You have Manhattan life ,Broadway and the arts ,street fairs, food. Then you have the country, farms ,vinyards and ocean. How can you beat that?
