Equinox in VT - who's been there?
I just booked a weekend in late October. I think we are going to bring DD who will just be 1 year old by then. Any recommendations on what to do and where to eat? TIA!

We were going to do our babymoon there around the same time-- let me know how it is!!
Take a look on Trip Advisor-- I usually find a lot of good travel info there, they also have message boards!!

Re: Equinox in VT - who's been there?
i have been - equinox attracts a much older crowd and doesn't appear to be too kid-friendly. EVERYTHING is extra - nothing is included in your daily "resort fee." Take a walk into town, there are some cute little shops and restaurants there.
truth is though, if i hadn't been staying there for free, i would've left...

Re: Equinox in VT - who's been there?
I personally LOVE the place! You'll see in the related topics in a couple of posts I LOVE it there.
I will say I haven't been there since they changed hands and are no longer a Rock Resort...we didn't get to go last year.
We plan on going again this year for our anniversary. (End of Oct also.) It's not peak time, so it's dead & you have the run of the place. Anyone going during peak time - end of Sept/beginning of Oct expect delays, but off peak service is outstanding. Each time we went we had upgraded suites w/our package...on our HM we even stayed an extra night & were bumped to the Orvis Inn.
The spa is heavenly! Massages were outstanding. Facial fantastic! Another bonus w/going off peak is you basically own the pool, etc. You'll usually only find locals there using the facililty at that time.
If you love to shop head into town at the designer outlets.
If you love the outdoors like DH & I do there are great activities & hiking trails.
Also, a couple years when we went the weather was insane! 80 degrees one day - the next it snowed!
I can find my pictures & send you an FM w/the link. Can't remember if they're on here or LIW.

Re: Equinox in VT - who's been there?
We went for our 1 year anniversary in Oct 2006 and LOVED it there! We had the cloud 999 package and had $999 in spa credit so every day was a massage or facial or wrap/scrub. It was heaven! Like Lori said it was off season so it was not crowded which I loved. Every restaurant we went to was delicious and best of all had no wait. There is also lots of outlet shopping and great little shops to visit around there. First and favorite being the cheese house and their amazing fresh VT cheese. We brought our own wine and just relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves. The dinner we had at their on site restaurant was delicious and their breakfasts are even better! There are trails to hike in and lots of outdoor activities. Very cool your company bought it. Feel free to share any discounts!

ETA: I don't remember the name of the place since it was 2 years ago but there was a delicious Mexican place that had an apple cider margarita that was to die for. They also had fresh salsa verde and some of the best quesadillas I have ever had!

Re: Equinox in VT - who's been there?
Heck...I'll post some more...
Tuesday after morning pool & jacuzzi run...(Cucumber water in hand!)
Part of the spa...
The Cheese House!
Wednesday Hiking around Equinox Preserves...
More Equinox Pics...
I have shots of our rooms, but with all the renovations...they are no longer...and to be honest I feel the new room designs totally take away from the old charm the place had.
