Re: Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat
We have the Triumph and I love it. So easy to install and so much less expensive then other seats. Plus it rates very high on consumer reports. But I will say that if space is the issue the Triumph is on the bulkier side. There is extra padding, which I believe is for safety reasons. But it does cut into space in your back seat. If you have a SUV you're ok, but smaller cars it might take up too much.
We actually got the Evenflo Tribute for DH's car (Camry). Also ranked very well, much cheaper... I think it's like $60 or $70 and it takes up less room. We love this seat as well and would recommend this one.

Re: Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat
I have the Triumph for my older DD and she is very comfortable it in (at least I think so!)...it is bulky, but I think most convertible seats with a high weight limit are. The straps are easy to use and adjust.
We also have the Titan for my husband's car and its definitely not as nice...its harder to adjust and the straps twist often, but for a second car seat, its not a bad choice.
My MIL has the Graco comfortsport and I personally think it doesn't seem to have as much cushioning and padding as either of my Evenflo carseats.
As as FYI, with the Triumph on on side of my backseat and an infant seat on the other, there is no way a normal sized person can sit in the backseat of my sedan with the kids. In my husband's Nissan Titan, you can easily fit a person between them comfortably though.

The question I need to ask is how old is your child? I would not sugest the Triumph for a small car, especially if rear facing.
The Graco Comfortsport or Britax Roundabout is good for a smaller car.

Why not? I have a hyundai Elantra and I will be putting the triumph in soon, rear facing. DS is only 7 months now and I will probably do it around 8 months.

Re: Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat
I've had both my kids in the Triumph as babies. DD was about 8 months when she went in and DS was about 5 months.

I'm curious about why...when I had the seat checked rear-facing they didn't have any concerns in my Galant.

Re: Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat
The Truimph in many smaller cars has a problem with regard to the width of the base and fitting the set belt path correctly.
Also, depending on the car, the Triump adjustment wheel gets locked up with the back cushion of the car.
Rear facing is the problem, not so much forward facing.
