EVER BE SO HAPPY AND WORRIED AT THE SAME TIME??!!
i drank the water!!!!
i had greg run out and get tests today, figured what the heck, ill take one and see what happens!!!! and uve seen my post this morning- i took the progesterone last week......now im so worried....i was on day 53, no AF, and 7 negative tests...took this stuff, and get that!!
im just really upset, but happy too.......i mean, what if i was pregnant 3 weeks ago??? and just had a low dose of of HCG.....uuggghhhhhhh- and the info on the computer is crazy.....it can cause birth defects.....
i just hate my OB right now- why not just bring me in for a blood test to see the levels before giving me this stuff!!!!?????

Bummer that you took the progesterone to bring on AF. You're right, your OB should have brought you in to just check things out.

Congratulations!
I would be really annoyed at my OB though. If he knew it could cause birth defects, why wouldn't he make sure there was no way you were pregnant?
Also, I was taking prednisone before I knew I was pregnant with DD1 and I was really worried about i having a negative affect in her. She turned out fine.

I agree that your doctor was an idiot for not making sure about your pregnancy...I would probably look for another doctor if I was you....good luck

Honestly, don't get yourself all worked up about it. It does no good to upset yourself...especially when you are pregnant. People take progesterone after an IVF cycle to help hold the embryo (I had to). Take a deep breath...everything will be okay!!!
P.S. Don't crawl under any rocks....it's lonely under there!

YAY! Congrats!! I know you're scared, but stay positive. Everything will be okay. I had a really difficult pregnancy and was told their was a very good chance something would be wrong with DD. My DD is 100% healthy so just hang in there. FM is you want to talk!

Wait a minute...
Did you take progesterone or provera?
You took provera right?
If you took progesterone then it can give you a false positive. I was on progesterone shots after IVF that is why I HAD to confirm via a blood test as the progesterone in my system would have given my a false BFP.
I'm hoping it's provera. If it is, after that test, STOP taking it immediately.

That's not progesterone. That's medroxyprogesterone (also known as provera). 2 different things.

That's not progesterone. That's medroxyprogesterone (also known as provera). 2 different things.
Yes, you are confusing the name it is marketed under vs. the pharmaceutical name.
You took PROVERA... that's the name it is marketed under. Don't use the other or you will confuse some people.

I would be happy & somewhat worried. I would also call my ob/gyn for an appointment. IMO he screwed up. He shouldn't be giving that RX without a blood test for pregnancy.
