Ever take your dog to a Smithtown beach?
They allow dogs on the beach starting this month. If it's nice, I'm thinking of taking Brinkley on Sunday.
Just wondering if anyone had problems with the rocks and broken shells on the beach? I would think they would hurt soft paws.

We haven't specifically gone to a Smithtown beach, but Misty has been on numerous beaches on the North Shore....trust me, the rocks and shells are the least of your problems. The only time Misty got hurt anywhere was in the woods of Belmont Park where she must have run across a broken bottle and she sliced her pad pretty deeply. Other than that, she has no issues with ground surfaces. Their pads are pretty thick and protective.

Thanks Gerty! I would be with my husband so one of us could hold him back and the other one do a sweep of the area.
I knew I was going to be attentive to my dog, but I feel like a protective parent sometimes!

Hah!!! If Misty's at the beach - noone's holding her back, she's like a dog gone wild.
Actually, she's always like a dog gone wild
