Ever work with someone who sounds like they are speaking through a megaphone??
I seriously can't handle this today.
I sit in a little area all by myself- most days.
It's quiet, it's peaceful, and I guess I take it for granted most days!
Today we are tight on guest desks I guess, so I have someone from another office sitting at a spare desk right next to me.
This particular guy has been on calls ALL day long. And I mean ALL day. I have not even seen him get up once to go take a p!ss! Seriously.
Fine- you have to do your job- I understand.
But his voice is just BOOMING. I swear to you he is shouting the entire time- and for emphasis he raises it even more.
Now my ears are pretty clogged with a cold and congestion and I swear my eardrums are STILL ringing.
And the worst part is, I have to be on calls- with my boss, clients, whatever- and I find myself shouting OVER him. Not to mention I have about half a voice today due to being sick and it hurts to even speak in a whisper- much less try to raise my voice.
Ugh this is the WORST day to have a roomate over here! 
Sorry to complain- but I just had to get it out!!
ETA- oh wait, oh wait it gets better. Just as I hit post on this- he decides to put his conf call on SPEAKER. WONDERFUL.
So now I have to listen to him SHOUTING, as well as everyone else on the call, (which includes a woman who might be Fran Dresher- her voice is THAT annoying) as well as that wonderful echo you get on conf calls sometimes.
Please let this freakin' day end!

Oh I had that with my old manager in the cube next to me. I could just all day. She did not beleive in talking into the phone she had to use speaker all the time. I could not concentrate on my work and it got so bad one week that I just put my ear phones on and turned up my IPOD. That did the trick but just had to watch for the phone to ring lucky my job didnt entail being on the phone alot.

Do you work in my office?! My person happens to have a wall separating us, yet I can still hear her clear as day.

I feel you! I swear it was awful. I left last night with a pounding headache and I felt like I could still hear his voice booming and resonating in my ears for hours after I left. Almost like when you go to a club and the music is so loud that your ears ring when you get home.
Thank God I'm alone here again today... ahhhh- the sound of sweet silence! It's awesome!

LMAO! What a pain in the neck! A loud talker!
Did you ever notice how people who normally don't talk all that loud start SCREAMING when they get on a cell phone?? In particular, people in my parent's generation... they get on the cell phone and automatically their voice goes up like 10 levels.

I don't work with someone who sounds like that but I live with people who are like that. My family is the loud family and I swear we are all going to have hearing loss one day.
