Exercise and TTC question??
Can running affect your chances of conceiving??
I heard that all the bouncing can shake the egg from the wall. Is this true???
May be a stupid question, but I heard this and got nervous.
Thanks.

Not a stupid question! I'd like to know too. I'm a runner as well.

Re: Exercise and TTC question??
I don't think this is true for evolutionary reasons-however, I would slow it down to walking when TTC and pregnant

Re: Exercise and TTC question??
I don't think so I have a few friends and a cousin who were runners who all ran while TTCing and while pregnant.
I would not start a new routine but I don't think running would hurt you if you already run no.

I heard that too, that if you are already a runner that it's fine. But if you not already a runner not to change anything.
But then I heard otherwise and got worried.

if you are concerned just pick up the phone and call your doctor that is always the safest way then you can relax and not worry

Re: Exercise and TTC question??
OMG, I was just going to post the same question!!!!
I was going to avoid exercise during the 2ww, but it's only 5DPO and I am getting ansy! I was really good about working out over the summer, and I hate to not go.
I went tonight and did the elliptical for 30 minutes. I avoided the weight machines.

Re: Exercise and TTC question??
i do not think that running can hurt your chances of ttc AT ALL. It's good to exercise and I would do your regular routine until you get a BFP - then you can modify it.

Re: Exercise and TTC question??
I have many friends that were exercize -holics (one even a fitness instructor) and all continued to work out/run when they were pregnant but just at a lower modified capacity. All their kids are fine. You just have to be more careful to monitor your heart rate so it doesn't go above a certain point and stop running/exercising when it becomes uncomfortable for you.
