Exercising
Im not sure if this has been asked before so if it has I apologize.
Does anyone know if it is harmful to work out hard while TTC? I have to admit, the whole m/c experience caused me to pack on about 10-15 lbs. About 2 weeks ago I weighed myself and cried for like an hour because I didnt realize it had gotten so bad.
Since then, I have been following a VERY strict diet and have been pushing myself hard at the gym like 4-5 days a week. Ive dropped the 10 lbs but still, then only puts me back to my original fatness
Obviously Id rather get PG and will stop this regime if it is interfering in anyway.
Thoughts? TIA!!

Re: Exercising
i think it's fine to exercise while ttc but i'm not the expert...i think you can continue when you are PG but have to cut down the intensity

Re: Exercising
I would think it would be good to exercise while TTC. especially if it helps you to get in shape for your pregnancy.

Re: Exercising
I'm no doctor, but I think as long as you keep your heart rate under 140, don't overheat and keep hydrated while exercising, then you should be fine.

I dont keep it under 140. I should have specified that in my original post. I know moderate exercise like walking nd light weight lifting would be good but I run like everyday, once a week I do a step/pilates class. I dont know my exact HR but Im sure its much higher then 140.
Maybe I should tone it down until I know if Im PG or not.

Re: Exercising
I think it is fine to exercise while ttc, but maybe don't got too crazy. I was running up until I got my BFP, and the nurse said that I could continue my exercise routine. I ended up chickening out and walking after I got my BFP though.

Re: Exercising
It is 100% ok to excercise while TTC. I would run, spin, pilates reforming. Even if your hr is over 140 while TTC it is ok. It's just when you are pregnant that you should be more careful.
I was running up until i miscarried. My doctor said it was fine since I have been running for awhile.
Plus the excercise will help reduce all the stress from TTC.

Re: Exercising
Exercising is totally fine! I was exercising the day I started to miscarry, so I had hated myself thinking that I caused this. I explained to my doctor what happened, and she told me that I did nothing wrong, that exercise is fine before and after pregnancy, so not to worry.
Although I am extremely superstitous and won't exercise during my 2ww because I'm nuts
