I use Playtex Ventaire...Kerri never had any issue with gassiness so no need for the Dr Browns

If you have a dishwasher Nancy...and I'm sure you do in your new house, then cleaning the dr brown bottles is easy. I only used dr browns as well.

You get the dishwasher basket that they sell in BRU or BBB and take apart the bottle parts and throw them in there. When you come over sometime, I'll show you how to do it.

this is exactly what we do!

I use the playtex drop ins and also love them. We tried the dr. browns and Emily hated them and spit up a lot with them.

I think it depends on your baby. I registered for 2 kinds, tried them both, and stuck with what she liked.

We have been using Dr Browns since we bought Ali home.
Never had a problem with them and as long as you have a dishwater - no problems cleaning them
