Exposure to coxsackie
Sorry, not sure if I'm spelling coxsackie right - but I just learned that a child I was around has coxsackie (and did when I saw her). I called Dr. Hanauer's office and they said Kerry would get back to me tomorrow to let me know if this is a problem. Any thoughts?

Re: Exposure to coxsackie
I've had it, it's also called Fifth's disease. Not while pregnant though. I hope it doesn't affect you.

Re: Exposure to coxsackie
It is only a problem in the 1st trimester. After that it is not a concern. It can cause m/c in the first trimester. I work in a school and all the pg women take a sigh of relief after the first trimester becasue they don't have to scared about 5th's disease.

Re: Exposure to coxsackie
Coxsackie isn't the same as fifth's disease. Coxsackie is hand, foot & mouth - it's sores in the mouth. Fifth's is a rash.
