Re: Extremely sensitive story - so tragic
Again, why God gives people like this children .........I will NEVER understand.
and I absolutely think it could have been the 3 year old - Growing up w/ a mother like that, who knows what this poor kid had already gone through, what his state of mind was like....etc etc.

The mother was in the room next door, chatting with gang members?
This is just a horrible horrible thing-that poor sweet baby and the poor 3 year old. If he did it, he probably had no idea what he was doing. Maybe he tried to comfort a crying baby, maybe he wanted to play with his brother-who knows. for the baby, may he rest in peace-such a short life with so little joy-not even caring parents to watch over him
I was actually thinking as reading that maybe the three year old tried picking up the baby and dropped him? Numerous times? Would that present itself the same way?
Either way, my heart breaks for that baby and for the three year old.
This is exactly what I was thinking! Such an awful tragedy that never should have happened!

See, I was thinking it very well could be the 3 year old.
We don't know anything about what this little boy has been through. I'm assuming if, at almost 4 years old, he is living in a hotel and left alone for 3 hours with his 6 week old brother while his mother is hanging out with gang members, he might not have had the best upbringing so far.
An abused and neglected child is capable of doing anything. 3 and 4 year olds aren't babies anymore - they are kids and they get angry, irrational, and aggressive in the best of upbringings.
Compounded with his upbringing, which I;m sure involves neglect, abuse, and possibly seeing a lot of messed up actvities... (not to mention anything he inherited from mom genetically and possibly while in utero) could yield a very disturbed little child.
I have seen 3 and 4 year olds capable of killing a baby. It is disturbing and frightening.
This story is tragic - for the little boy and that baby. It boggles my mind that women like this have babies without even blinking and treat them this way, while some of the potentially best parents I know have to work to conceive.
This was my thought exactly.....Regardless, it is so sad
I feel sorry for the baby and little boy. I cant understand why a mother would think it would be okay to leave a 6 week old baby unstrapped in a car seat on a bed in a room with a 3 year old- it boggles my mind!

Do you see how many things are wrong with that question? The fact we are asking means she wasn't thinking at all!

I just don't think it was the 3 year old. They said the baby was found in cold water next to the air conditioner on full blast. Would a 3 year old even know such things? I don't have much experience with 3 yr olds so I may be totally wrong, but I just don't see one knowing how to kill a baby, if by accident yes, but soaking them in water with air conditioning to freeze them, I just can't buy that.. I thought it said that the 3 year old was the one who was soaked in cold water next to the air conditioner
Hmm you could be right, I re-read it and it just says that she said her son, but didn't specify which son.
I can't believe things like this happen, let alone to a newborn and a child.. so heartbreaking.

Re: Extremely sensitive story - so tragic
Stories like this break my heart. I was unfortunate enough to come across another story even more heartbreaking than this earlier this week and it haunts me to think that there are mothers out there who are so thoughtless or just dont give a SH*T. It could be that the 3 year old did it but whats dispicable is that it could have been prevented. I dont know why some women are not given that mothering gene. I read a story of a mom who allowed people to rape her 6mth old and did horrific things. I just cant understand. Its to the point I dont even want to read/see the news anymore.

Re: Extremely sensitive story - so tragic
I keep reading that last name and it's making me want to vomit.
No little Luce deserves that.
may God please rest his beauitiful little soul.
I hope the childless mothers in prison bring that ***** a WORLD OF PAIN.
ETA: I agree with Liza. it could have very well been the 3 year old.
all the more reason why I wish terrible things on the woman that birthed them both.
she does not deserve to be called "mother".
