Re: Eye Candy...Little Girls' Costumes
I saw a 7 year old last night in a sexy pirate outfit with fishnet stockings and fishnet gloves with her *** hanging out the back of the dress....don't these parents worry with the amount of perverts and pedophiles around these days???

Re: Eye Candy...Little Girls' Costumes
I don't think they are appropriate for the reasons stated. Even if they aren't revealing - the idea of a ten year old dressing as a prisoner or french maid has serious sexual connotations...and why would you invite that?

Re: Eye Candy...Little Girls' Costumes
YES!!!
DH let his 10 yr old daughter get a sexy devil girl costume - it was really short, and she wore it to a Halloween dance at her middle school with fish nets and red stiletto boots (her sisters) - I yelled at DH for letting her dress like a hooker!!! It was really bad!!!
And I took my 16 yr old stepdaughter shopping for her costume - she is a little more conservative in the way she dresses - we were marvelling at how many costumes required thigh high stockings, according to the display pictures.
She wound up getting the correction officer costume - with an open area for cleavage (which she has little of) and a black vinyl tie!!! It was very short and tight - she wore it with black leggings though...
I was really shocked! But at least she's 16. I think what they had for little girls was really appalling!!!

Re: Eye Candy...Little Girls' Costumes
My DH told me last night a youngish girl came to the door late (8ish) dressed as a wench of some sort and her boobs were POPPING out (and they were not small).
We were trying to figure out how old she was to be a)trick or treating b) dressed like that.
Not cool.

I think a couple of them are a little too sexy for pre-teen girls, but most are not that bad.
I also think these costume companies can try to sell whatever they want, but who is buying these costumes and allowing them to wear them... the parents!
I agree, its one thing if they make them, but hey, its the parents who buy them.
Doesn't anybody dress up like a baby, 70's chick, 80's chick, hobo......
I used to dress like that in middle and early HS

Little kids nowadays want to grow up so fast. I don't like the idea of "sexy" costumes for kids. Kids need to stay kids for awhile.
I agree!
This one little girl yesterday was wearing that ange/devil costume. The sleeves were sheer, and the dress part was soooooo short, youcould almost see her underwear. Totally inappropriate.

Re: Eye Candy...Little Girls' Costumes
I think they are too suggestive greanted I wore a french maid outfit when I was 12 but my mom made me wear a shirt and bike shorts underneath

ITA! Not even just the costumes but in general, you see thes 11 or 12 year old little girls walking around in belly shirts and tight jeans with all this makeup on. My dad would have locked me in my room if i tried to leave the house like that. IMO Kids are definately trying to grow up way too fast these days.
Triple that! Actually, I had two students dress up as MissBehavin. It wasn't that bad, actually.
But I completely agree...I actaully hate when moms dress their little girls like them. They are little girls...keep them that way!

Could those little girls wear anymore makeup? That just tops the racy looks.

Re: Eye Candy...Little Girls' Costumes
It's not that I think the costumes are that bad (though I think the thigh highs and bare midriff cross the line), but what bothers me most is the "poses" and "look" of the girls. They look like they are posing sexy and I think that puts some of the costumes over the line.
