eye exams
so I know you can't have xrays done at a dentist but what does an eye dr do at an appointment? Is it a no no for pregnant patients? I've always had good vision so i've never been to an eye dr before and my ds decided to stick his finger in my eye this morning and its still killing me 5 hours later..

Re: eye exams
it's totally fine... they just test your vision and sometimes use eye drops to dilate your pupils to check for glaucoma, etc. just let them know you're preggers when you get there.
eta: since you got poked in the eye they will probably check to make sure your cornea isnt scratched, they just look at your eye with a magnifying glass, everything is external/safe.

Re: eye exams
if they tell you that your vision changed...it could change back after your pregnancy!
I need to get my eyes checked(i wear glasses) but was told to wait after I have the LO....bc they could go back to the way they were!

Re: eye exams
Should be fine. Oh, and X-rays at the dentist are also okay, should you need one. It's like having a laser beam aimed at your tooth - nothing "floats" down towards your uterus, and you're covered by a lead shield in any case. No reason not to get one.
