Facebook newbie here. Need help with Wall view setting for friends.

Hi,

I'm trying to see if this is possible so far nothing is working...

I would like friends to be able to:

a) view my wall
b) be able to post to my wall
c) ONLY see my posts to my wall

I currently have it set to

Posts by me: Only Friends

Friends can view posts on wall: Only ME

&

I have friends can post on wall checked off

But when I view this as a friend they see my wall, my posts which they are able to comment on and that's it. They don't see that bar on top where they can write in. Can this be done??? Am I doing something wrong?

The bar on top is your status. Only you can type there. They can type after each comment you have made. There is a box for that.

but i see the bar on my other friends profiles and I'm able to posts like happy birthday and stuff....

See, I want them to be able to post but not see other people's posts...I just want them to see the ones I post. This makes sense right?
