I am soooooo sick of seeing "Like" this if you care and seeing images of sick babies (very disturbing images) sick dismembered animals....I don't want to see these images on my news feed and its not like its the same people doing so I can block them everyday its someone different...What is the point of this new trend???

I saw something that a friend posted this weekend with 'RIP Justice' on it and an extremely horrific story about a dog, along with the picture of the dead dog 
it was heartbreaking, but i was actually physically sickened by the image of the dog and was really upset that my friend had just posted it on her wall to show up in everyone's newsfeed like that.
There's a difference between awareness and shock value

I really really really hate this and I just don't understand how spreading these pictures around can help a cause. Spread the story but not the picture, this way you can choose to read the story but you can't choose not to see a picture that appears on your news feed.

I don't see them. I think most of my friends just don't do it. They dont like it so they won't share it. I have tons of pet friendly posts. Cats & Dogs. Sure a few ask for assistance but no more than a commercial you'd see on TV (not that sad one with Sarah whatsherface's song). Just cats and dogs saying "im here to love" etc.
A friend did recently post something like "I am tired of seeing sick and injuried animals" or something. I wondered what she was talking about. But I guess its this.

I've never seen anything like that on my newsfeed and doubt my friends would post something bad like this. I would definitely not "Like" anything like that!!

I saw that for the first time today, it was a girl around 3ish with bruises on her face... the caption said im not asking you to like this just to share it... or something like that..

A lot of those pictures are bogus.. usually someone saying if the picture gets 100 likes or shares then the person gets a free medical thing. I have seen free heart transplants and other crap.. I delete them right away..

I don't like them either, and I honestly think they're all bull ---.
There are just gross images and then like a bald child (due to cancer, so sad) and "like this if you think she is beautiful". I feel like it's just a manipulative tactic to get their page out bc they try to mkae it like you're an a-hole if you don't like it. I just see no need for it. It doesn't bring any real awareness IMO

I'm glad it isn't just me!! I feel bad that these people,had horrific things happen to them, but I don't need to see it posted constantly.
I really hate the one of the wedding photo with the burned soldier and his wife with the most miserable look on her face, ugh!

People are morons. They'll 'repost' a picture of a sick child with the caption "If this gets 10,000 likes, this little girl will get a new heart transplant". Really? Is that how insurance companies and hospitals determine heart transplant receipients? Through facebook likes? WTF.
