failed my 1 hour yesterday
So yesterday I had my one hour, and the NP called me today and told me my # was 205, so they don't even want me to do the 3 hour, just go right to the endocrinologist They gave me 4 names in suffolk: Kugler Brand Wexler and Carlson. Anyone ever see any of these? and what did you think of them? Has anyone failed that horribly that they skipped the 3 hour? I feel so crappy!

Awww I'm sorry you failed but there is nothing that you could have done differently and now at least they will get you on track so you deliver a perfectly healthy baby

Re: failed my 1 hour yesterday
I got a 201 and passed my 3 hours. They say anything over 200 is an automatic don't even take the 3-hour, but my doctor suggested I did anyway and I ended up passing.
Would you be up for doing the 3-hour? Maybe have the conversation with your doctor, but again I guess it depends on what they say.
Sorry to hear that and it totally s*cks, but it can be controlled.

Re: failed my 1 hour yesterday
I'm so sorry! I didn't fail the one hour by that much, but one section of my 3 hour was 200, so they put me on a GD diet and monitor my blood sugar at every visit. Anything over 200 is a cause of concern.
I will tell you that it hasn't been fun to restrict my diet. But, the good news is that I have been really healthy and have not gained very much weight because of it. So, there are some benefits.
Good luck!

i am seeing the endocrinologist on monday, so I will see what she thinks about taking the 3 hour. the office that I got an appointment with usually has a 6 week wait, but once my doc faxed over my results, the endocrinologist wants to see me ASAP! I'm so nervous now!

Re: failed my 1 hour yesterday
I know this is easier said then done, but try not to get too upset over this. Like one poster said, there is nothing you did wrong, it's just how your body is handling the pregnancy. Nothing you could have done differently.
I hope you feel better soon

Re: failed my 1 hour yesterday
I'm sorry to hear this but you should know that having GD is not so bad as long as you are appropriately monitored. It is difficult at first but trust me, it gets easier to manage, and the extra monitoring will bring peace of mind. Good luck!
