Faint line vs evap lines
Hello Ladies , Because I am a POAS addict I teted this AM and saw a VERY faint line . My DH saw it too but as I said it was VERY faint but there. Could it be an evaporation line ? I tired to take a pic with my phone but you could not see the line at all .
We looked 3-5 min after testing.... I don't think it can be, but since it was SO light I guess I am just unsure . I don't want to get excited , and of course I am going to buy more tests tonight.

Re: Faint line vs evap lines
I had a veryyyyyyy very faint line & Im 7 weeks now, so its very possible. Even when I went to get tested at the Dr the nurse was like its + but your line is very faint-- everyones is different.

I don't think that would be considered an evap line

Re: Faint line vs evap lines
How many DPO are you? when is your AF due? It is common to get faint lines the earlier you take the test.
Keep us updated!!

I agree!!! If it showed that quickly I don't think it can be an evaporated line

Re: Faint line vs evap lines
the rule usually is, if the line has ANY color at all its a real line. if its completely clear and shadowy, its an evap line. good luck!

Isn't FMU best ? And I am at work , so the earliest would be tonight. Are the digitals more sensitive ? I don't want to wait either !

LOL FMU is the best... im just trying to get you to do what i want... lol idk if digitals are better or not... but i think once you see a line on a different test you should be able to see a pregnant on a digital

this is not true at all. you can absolutely get a + on a line test and - on a digital. digitals require more HCG in the urine than the line tests so if you are very early or not using FMU you should use a line test and not a digi. only use a digi once you see a blatant line on a line test. if the line is questionable you might not get a + on a digi til the next day or so.

Right. Digitals are less sensitive, meaning they require more HCG in your urine to get a positive. So, I wouldn't recommend getting a digital and definitely would not recommend testing with a digital with non-FMU if you only got a faint line of a line test.
With all that said, since you saw the faint line within the 3-5 min timeframe, that is definitely considered a BFP! I know you are anxious, but your best bet is to use another line test like the FRER and wait to use tomorrow's FMU.
Good luck!
