Re: ? about the First Response tests & faint lines

Hrm, I'm inclinded to say a line is a line except I'm not sure about the distance thing - this is a pic of my 13DPO BFP, the line is ultra faint, but maybe it will give you an idea of where the line should be and see if it matches what you saw Chat Icon

Good Luck!

OMG - that looks EXACTLY like my two tests!!!! Thanks so much for posting the pic...now I can't wait to retest tomorrow! Hopefully it will be darker!! Chat Icon

One more question, if you don't mind...did you tell your dh when you saw that or did you wait until it was darker? Thanks!!

Re: ? about the First Response tests & faint lines

There's a good chance it's a BFP. The only thing I question is that you have to hold it close & tilt it just the right way. That recently happened to my best friend & she definately wasn't pregnant.

However, if you saw it on two tests I'd say you probably have a BFP! I would test again tomorrow with FMU & see if it gets darker. FMU is usually the most concentrated anyway so you will probably get a nicer line! The lines are usually have a little space so I wouldn't worry about that. ETA: if your test looks like the one Nina_lemon posted then I'd say it's a definite BFP! Congrats! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I told him right then! He was in the shower, I threw open the curtain and said "I've got a line!" he was a little more cautious and said are you sure that's a line?

I did retest for the next 4 days, just to be sure Chat Icon

But it looks like you are PREGNANT!!!!!!!!

Re: ? about the First Response tests & faint lines

It sounds like you're pregnant. Congratulations!

The first test I took was very faint. The directions said something about having a distinct color band. Even though the line appeared within the 5 minutes, I convinced myself it must have been an evaporation line. I told DH about it, but said I wasn't sure what it meant and didn't want to get my hopes up. The next morning, I took another test and it was also very faint. DH bought me a digital test b/c I wanted to be sure. I took the digital the following morning. I couldn't believe it confirmed the BFP.

Maybe you should buy a digital if you're worried about the line being faint. Chat Icon

Re: ? about the First Response tests & faint lines

I agree with getting the digital - seeing that word is pretty cool Chat Icon

I have heard they are less sensitive than the line tests, I took a digital 2 days after AF was due because I was terrified of seeing a BFN

Congrats again!!!!!!

UPDATE: Good morning! Well, I got a big fat maybe this morning...when I PO2S Chat Icon I wanted to see if the line got darker on a 1st Response test & I wanted to use the digital that I picked up last night, so I did both tests with my FMU - I'm crazy, I know! The digital said "not pregnant" and the pink line got A LOT darker this morning...I wouldn't call it faint anymore! So which is it?!? Chat Icon Chat Icon I'm *hoping* that my hcg level is still just a lil' too low for the digital test to pick up since it's supposed to be so accurate. So now I wait...AF is due on Sunday, so I'm going to try & wait until then to see...I can't take any more confusion!Chat Icon

You are pregnant! A lot of times the digital tests do not detect hcg levels until they are higher. Wait another day or two and take another digital... it will say 'Pregnant.' If there is 2 lines on a regular pregnancy test then you are pregnant!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

digitals are MUCH less sensitive than regular tests. you will probably test positive on a digital in the next few days.

the fact that the pink line got darker is a very good sign - you are pregnant, girl - cognrats!!!

Re: **UPDATE** ? about the First Response tests & faint lines

Thank you all so, sooooo much! I'm just so overwhelmed...and in shock right now!!! I've had 3 doctors in the last 10 years tell me that when I was ready to ttc that I would more than likely never get pregnant on my own/without help! 3 different doctors!! Add to that the fact that this is only our 1st month trying, well...you can see why I'm so scared and a bit skeptical! I'm dying to have my obgyn confirm, but they won't see me for another month. In the meantime, I'll just wait...stunned and praying!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

You are all such beautiful people! Thank you so much for your good wishes & for your support!! Here's some magic babydust!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
