Fall 1st Birthdays...What to do?
Those who have babies in Sept/Oct/Nov...What did you do for their first birthday parties?
The Girls are Oct 2nd and I don't know what to do.
I really dont want to do a sit down type dinner at a resturant as its a bit too formal for me for a 1st birthday, a childrens place is too young, and we want family there, but after the christening, I hesitate to do a Hall type of place again. It was just too much work for us, even though we hired people to do almost everything. ( plus it added up...I really dont wanna spend more then $1000 on the birthday if possible).
Is there anything I didnt think of????

we will most likely be doing it two weeks early (the first weekend in oct) in our backyards. A petting zoo theme.

I dont have acess to a backyard. Arent you afraid it will be too cold? I'm sooo scared of outside parties b/c of the weather aspect. I remember the anxiety around Noahs every year..would it rain etc.
But that sounds like a super cute plan.
I guess I could have it earlier too outside "somewhere" end of Sept.

No, I'm not scared it will be cold. I'm scared it will rain
Seriously though, that early on in October I remember still wearing flip flops last year. Maybe parents will have to put a zip up hoodie on their kids but I don't think full on coats will be out yet (at least I hope not!)

DS's 1st birthday is 1st week of September. We are doing it in our backyard.
Since you dont have access to a backyard, what about a park?

Re: Fall 1st Birthdays...What to do?
My friend's DD was born in early Oct and for her 1st birthday, she did a Halloween theme and everyone came in costume. It was really cute and a lot of fun. At the time I was 7 months pregnant with DD and I dressed up as a baby
