Falling asleep sitting up in crib?

We started CIO again last night. He fell asleep last night standing up, and keeps on falling asleep sitting down, but then jerking himself awake.

Right now, he went in, no crying, just complaining a little, but he is sitting up again. How do I get him to lay down? THanks!

Jordana would do the SAME THING. its a phase. We took some pictures, it was so funny. But I also got worried. I would just go in and readjust her so she would lie down.

Don't worry. They get over it.

Thanks! It's so cute. I actually took a pic tonight, and want to video it as well. Whenever we lay him down, he freaks. I guess we just have to wait this phase out!

just let him be. If you lay him down chances are he will go nuts.
he will lay down on his own eventually..
A few days and its over!
i cannot even go in at night if they cry now I make them nuts.

I have no solution but everytime I see this post, I think that it has to be so cute when they fall asleep sitting up (until they fall over, which I realize is a concern). Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Aww, that is adorable Chat Icon

My son doesnt lean against the rail though. So his back is hunched, and his head hangs...it has to be sooo uncomfortable...

Re: Falling asleep sitting up in crib?

Chat Icon to that picture!

My son would fall asleep in the STRANGEST positions. butt up in the air, sitting up, etc. My sentiment is that if they are comfortable enough to fall asleep like that then they are fine, so just leave them alone! lol
