false positive??

Has anyone ever taken a PG test and it was positive but then later you found out it was false??

I don't think that happens....I know there are WAY more false negs than postives.

Not sure....I think there are "chemical pregnancies" meaning you can test positive, but, when you go to the Dr. they don't see anything.

I know there were 2 women on here that had 'chemical pregnancies' where they tested positive.. but then weren't pregnant. But I also know it is REALLY rare. False positives are usually caused by certain medications (I think certain infertility drugs can increase the chances).

I thought a chemical was a pregnancy where you miscarried really early, so that is why you get a + on a pregnancy testChat Icon

yes, that's what a chemical is - any miscarriage before 6 weeks is considered a chemical pregnancy.

The month before I conceived ds I had a chemical. I got a bfp well actually it was a small positive but it was a positive. I continued to test and it was positive till af showed (3 days late). Then it disapeared Chat Icon . But I got pregnant again the next cycle and it stuck Chat Icon

That happened to me earlier this year. I took 8 tests 4 positive 4 negative. It was a chemicalChat Icon
