Family tree question

I'm trying to fill in the section for family tree in the babies baby books. I was only going to start with my parents. I was going to take pictures of everyone as couples, but not sure if that is how you do it. For example. The top would be my parents (there are two pages, so one side is my side, the other will be DH's) then under that is me and my two siblings, but do I put a picture of me and DH in one pic, then a pic of my brother and his wife in a second pic, etc. OR do I take a pic of me and a separate pic of DH and draw a line connecting them as to show I am in my parents blood line and then my DH is an addition and the same for my siblings partners? Then do the same on the other page. This way me and DH are on both sides.
I tried to get some ideas online, but those family trees are many generations and very confusing.
Also after the babies (twins) are born, should I add the pictures of them to the tree? TIA.

I think that you put dh and you on different sides, then when you link up, that is where you put the babies.

You might have to start further up in your tree with great grandparents...etc.
