Family Vacation - Opinions needed
We are going on a week long family vacation along with my family. DH has expressed the desire to do "guy" things for one day with the other men going (my bro and BIL).
Do you think it is acceptable for him to take a day without the family, or since it is a family vacation, he should do what we do?
Opinions?
(I already have my own answer to this question, but it's a discussion between me and my Mom, so I am wondering what others would do)

We went on a family cruise 2 years ago. One of the excursions was just me, mountain biking in Maine. DW was all for it. She did some things without me and DC as well.
Family vacations don't have to mean being attached at the hips 24/7 for the entire trip.

I would expect the men to have a day or night for just them and the women to have one for them as well. It a vaca for everyone so evryone should have some time to enjoy it 
Plus maybe the kids would think its cool to get to do something with just the moms one day and then just the dads another day while the others are out.

Absolutely! DH is going to be playing golf for a morning or afternoon on our family vaca. I think it's totally fine. Just like I plan on doing a spa morning or afternoon

Totally fine for the guys to golf, fish, whatever on their own.
I would want to carve out a spa day for the girls too.

Absolutely! We have been going to Florida on a week vacation for the past couple of years, & my DH will play golf for one of those days.

Ray does fine with the 3 of them by himself and he will have extra hands to help him out. Plus your Dad will be there to be the voice of reason and keep them in line!
