Mine calls his prep "studying", as if he is trying to pass the Bar Exam or get into medical school. It is rediculous! Funny to a point, but rediculous.
That's so funny- he calls his "studying" too! If only he could put that much time into household things or planning something special for us:)
That Gus statue is hilarious. Suddenly the giant softball trophy in our living room doesn't seem as bad:)

Re: Fantasy Football widows...
I think my DH is in at least one each for football, baketball, baseball as well as horse racing fantasy teams. I'm not sure about hockey.
No ugly statues or big trips. I will NOT give him those ideas!
The online drafts are hilarious. He won't get up from the computer for hours!
We're going to a wake tonight -- I wonder how many times "trades" will be discussed.

Re: Fantasy Football widows...
DH had his draft last night. He usually just does a fantasy baseball one. His co-workers wanted to do a fantasy football league so he decided to join it. DH wasn't too happy about telling me that he has to root for the Giants now (he's a Jets fan) b/c he has Tiki Barber and a few other Giants on his fantasy team. He rarely watches the Giants games with me, and if he does, he roots against them. Now, at least we can watch them together.

DH had his draft last Friday and tomorrow night is just the begining of the end. I told him to enjoy it now, because in a month we're going to have a baby.

Re: Fantasy Football widows...
I showed DH this thread last night and he thought it was hysterical.
He tries to involve me and I just don't get the whole fantasy team thing. I understand the sports by themselves.
He can talk about fantasy football, his trades, players, points, etc. incessantly. When I get really sick of hearing about it, I start talking about menstruation. He wigs out, like most men, at the mere mention of the word. It is pretty funny, but I get my point across.

Good job! Sun. is our first niece's Christening for his family and we have to make sure we're home in time for the Giants opener! I said, I see I'm going to have to time the birth of our children, when we have them, to not coincide with major sport events!
With so many different players on the fantasy team - he has to watch like all the games!
