Fashion 911! Moms of boys - help!
We have a couple of occasions coming up. DS is still in newborn clothes and is teetering into 0-3 but they are still kind of big.
I'm having a really hard time finding some outfits for him to wear to these parties and I really don't want him wearing his usual sweatpant/onesie get up - especially because the a couple of the occasions are a little more formal and I really don't want him wearing a stupid dog or a truck shirt to the occasion.
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions of where I can find cute little outfits in his size? I don't have time to order anything on line so if you have seen something in the stores or can recommend a place, I'm all ears. Thanks!

Gap has cute stuff. I find their 0-3's are a little small, so it may work. You can do a polo with khakis. Also try bru, they usually have cute sets of dressy clothes, or Macys as well. Good luck!

First off, I see no problem at all with a newborn wearing a doggie footsie sleeper to an occassion. He's a newborn. No one will be expecting tails and a tie. My main concern was DS' comfort level and my ease of nursing and changing over style.
That being said, most stores have their holiday clothes in now. Was just at the Deer Park outlets and they have everything in newborn size and up. Carters had adorable collared shirt onsies (great to stay tucked in) with corduroy pants, sweater vests, sweaters, all in newborn and up. Without "baby" prints. Gymboree's outfits are pretty low key too.

Oops just realized you dont have time to order online....But I believe there is a Ralph Lauren outlet store perhaps (and even TJ Maxx etc. carry them sometimes!)

TJ Maxx definitely carries some high end items like Ralph Lauren. You never know what they will have when you go, but it is definitely worth the trip. If not definitely the Gap or Carters.

I have to agree with the fact that a newborn could wear anything to a formal occasion.
MY fav outfit for my DS was a sweater outfit. I got it as a gift. There is one just like it at gap... but it's still to warm outside. Image Attachment(s):

Old Navy and American eagle... He wears collared onesies or collared jumpers to church and events.

As a mom of three boys, I have luck with Janie and Jack. There is one in Roosevelt Field.

Century 21 has a great selection
I am also biased towards the RL and GAP romper for that age. they look very put together

I know. It's my issue. As you can tell, I prioritize well! LOL
Thanks for the suggestions ladies. Macy's has nothing right now. I'm going to check out your other suggestions. Thanks!

I agree with Ralph Lauren rompers. I get them at Marshalls- where do you live? I go to the one in Syosset, they always have a bunch.
Also, you can order from Hartstrings.com, they ship very fast if you have a few days.
The gap is good too and check babies r us too. Also, Janie and Jack in Roosevelt Field, they will all have the size you need.

Don't feel bad, I always put both my DSs in regular clothes, I like them looking like little boys/men.
I love Janie and Jack, I always buy off the clearance rack. I also like Children's Place, I like the little polos.
