Detectives said Reece had dropped off his brother shortly before the incident. Police said the two had spent the day renovating Reece's home in Selden -- and that Reece and the kids were headed back home when the tragic accident occurred.
his wife works at night- so I guess he had to take the kids
maybe he fell asleep?

This is an extremely tragic occurance. My heart goes out to their entire family. I am sad to say, I actually know the mother/wife (we work in the same location). She is a wonderful woman and its extremely disheartening that she has to endure this tragedy.

I just can't even imagine the pain she is feeling right now.

I don't know why but this kept me up last night. It's so so sad. I hope the victims did not suffer at all. It's unimaginable what that mother must be going through.
