Favor / goodie bags / gift ideas for First Birthday
I have been going to birthday parties where they have been handing out really cute gifts/goodie bags to the kids (personalized beach pails, personalized piggy banks, etc).
Any ideas for cute ideas for my son's first birthday party? Do people still do plan old goodie bags...lol?

For DD's Birthday, which was tinkerbell themed we handed out the Disney Tinkerbell totes for the kids loaded with Tinkerbell goodies (which we got from the $1 section at Michaels and AC Moore) such as crayons, dry-erase message boards, pencils, hair clips, bracelets. etc. For the boy attendees we did their bags Cars themed instead of tinkerbell.
ETA: For the adults we did chocolate covered photo cookies with a pic of DD with Tinkerbell cartoon.

both girls are having a party together this year so I am doing good ol' goody bags filled with candy and whatever I find... Emma is lady bug and Madison is Kai-lan.....

For DS1's first birthday we did personalized beach pails from Val (Do Me A Favor) and for DS2 I'll be contacting her for something as well.
For the christenings we do goodie bags for the kids...we only have family so that is 20 kids including DS1 (DS2 is not us for one yet  ) Since it's at a restaurant I fill it with things to occupy the kids:
Markers/Crayons
Craft Sets
Coloring Books
Matchbox Cars
Stamps
* Basically raid the $1 section
For DS2's christening they will be getting a cookie favor at the end (I avoid giving candy up front in the keep them busy bag and save it for the end). If you are giving the goodie bag at the end then I say load it up with candy, bubbles, crayons, etc.
