Favorite Caribbean Island?
We are looking to go away this May someplace tropical, we just don't know where :). Me, DH, and 2 DC (5 and 7 years old)
So what are your favorite Caribbean spots?
Some requirements:
**Not Mexico **SAFE **Beautiful beaches, preferably good snorkeling **Less than 5 hour flight
TIA

Favorite Caribbean Island?
Technically not the Caribbean, but of all the islands I've been to, Turks and Caicos has the most beautiful beaches by far.

Not Caribbean but Bermuda is by far the safest and most upscale imo

Re: Favorite Caribbean Island?
St. Bart’s My absolute favorite island.
It’s small, safe, breathtaking beaches, wonderful French people and it is easy to rent a villa and a car for your stay
I just got back, and it was my 7th visit to the island in 6 years

Bermuda is wonderful but it’s big and foreigners are not allowed to rent a car so taking taxis can get expensive quick

St. John is my home away from home. We go for two weeks every year. I would go more often if I could.

We have cruised there a dozen times and since the boat docks for 3 days, we always get the 3 day bus pass and have never had any problems getting around the island. I love it there!

Re: Favorite Caribbean Island?
Thanks for all the responses!
DH wants to do Bermuda, but I'm a little crazy and I LOVE hot hot hot weather (I'm the only person I know who legit loves heat waves.) I am afraid that Bermuda would not be hot enough for me lol.
I have a lot of options to research now though! Thanks again

you aren't alone. I love heat too. Like 90 degree heat waves? Bring it on! What month are you going again? ETA- sorry i just went back and looked. Bermuda will be warm in May- but not hot, hot hot. I think we went on a few cruises there in May and it was like 75-80 maybe? Florida is warmer to be honest
And looking at your requirements- the Keys checks all those boxes actually. As does the Gulf Coast of Florida. Would you consider staying in the US?

Favorite Caribbean Island?
For a beach vacation, I like the Dominican Republic. There are so many all inclusive resorts to choose from. I've never heard that someone didn't like it!

We haven't ruled out Florida, but we've been there a bunch of times so we wanted to try someplace different. But if I don't take care of our passports ASAP, we'll have no choice!

If you do decide- check this place out. It was incredible! Fly into Miami or Ft Lauderdale and it's about an hour drive. It's the newest resort in the keys. It was spectacular. Kids club- where they have different activities posted each day. Fishing off the pier every day for kids The water is calm and you see sea life. It was the most beautiful place.
