Favorite Passover Foods?
It's that time of year again?
And I am still on the lookout for a good parve kosher for passover dish!!
Anyway, what are your favorite passover foods?
I love matzoh brie, but it's so heavy, I'm glad we only eat it once a year!!!

Re: Favorite Passover Foods?
It's...umm..well I'll tell you how I make it, rather than describing it. Soak matzohs in egg (actually I totally forget what you soak it in..I vauguely remember soaking them in water once..) and then break them up and fry them in a pan..you get like a sort of hash brown type consistency...I put cinnamon and sugar on it....oh so good! Someone else may be able to describe it better. I've only made it a few times, and as you can tell, i forgot een how to make it. But if you like matzoh, you'll probably really like it.

I'm sort of a passover hater too. I don't even observe passover. but I never have anything to eat at the (meat) seders!
I tried to start this post to cheer me up.
They're now saying ring jells are not kosher for passover...

When I make it, I soak it in eggs too. I also add rasins to make it sweet. I pack in into a pan so it looks like pie and flip it after the bottom cooks. I actually throw away the pan i used to make in, time to go shopping for a new one.

My grandma's home made gifilte fish and her home made passover "rolls". They are the only things that get me through this holiday.

Re: Favorite Passover Foods?
Sometimes the 7 layer cake is good!!
This will be my first year not keeping passover. Since I am having a baby via c-section next Friday, I don't want to have to deal with the - uh- affects of eating matza and matza products for a whole week. I think hashem will forgive me!

The only thing I love about Passover food is Chicken soup. I am the queen of making chicken soup. Passed down from generation to generation

Re: Favorite Passover Foods?
I'm not a fan of most Passover foods, but I like the honey cake mix. I also like matzoh ball soup and potato kugel. Front Street Bakery in RVC also makes amazing Passover cakes which taste as good as regular cakes.

They do have kosher for passover noodles. They're made with egg yolks and potato starch

Re: Favorite Passover Foods?
I'm not Jewish, but I work with mostly Jewish people. My boss goes to some store on the Lower East Side and gets these chocolate mounds that he puts in the freezer. OMG - amazing
