Re: Favorite Song Spin-off: What was your first record, tape, and CD?

I'm old. I bought my first single and it was vinyl.. a 45 called "Hey ET".. it was like an interview with ET where his answers were snippets of popular songs.. like "Hey ET, what did you do for a living back on your home planet?" and the answer was "I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar". I was a kid! It was entertaining! Chat Icon

I have no idea what my first tape was.. probably Tears for Fears or OMD.

And I really don't remember my first CD!

Re: Favorite Song Spin-off: What was your first record, tape, and CD?

First album was one that my mother got me with $3.00 and 4 tide boxtops. It was a cover band doing all the current top hits. I was very young and didnt know the difference and still own it. Although no turntable LOL. First one I got myself was Kansas Point of Know Return. It has this haunting picture on the cover of a ship falling off the end of the earth

External Image

First tape was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Damn the Torpedoes

First CD was.....the Spin doctors I think. Something really random like that
