There is a Kotobuki in Hauppauge? I had no idea. Not that Babylon is far but Hauppauge is much closer.
We like Nissen in Commack and Aki. But always looking for new recommendations.

Yes - they re-did the outside of the shopping center, so now it just says "Sushi" outside of the restaurant. It's right near AC Moore

Hotoke in Smithtown is really good! But the BEST sushi on LI is in Long Beach. Nagahama. Right up there with Nobu, IMO.

Anddddd now I want sushi! At 10 am! LOL
I have to say, the other night I was in the city for work and we went to Atlantic Grill near Lincoln Center It's a seafood restaurant with a sushi menu.
That was some of the best sushi I have ever had- and they aren't even a sushi restaurant.

There's also a Kashi in Rockville center and syosset. Plus the same owners just opened mio in the elwood shopping center.

I tend to agree
Onsen is very good in Oakdale but it's not the same caliber.
Some in the city are excellent too- and like I said, that place that isn't even a sushi place, Atlantic Grill, was amazing sushi
