February mom's check in...

38 w 2 days..and feeling lousy.

Went to the doctor this morning and thankfully she said I started dilating..only 1cm but ill take it. She also said my cervix has moved forward which i think means thinned, but i forgot to ask her. Either way, since I came home from my internal ive been feeling worse. I tend to cramp a lot afterwards, so maybe it helps with the progress. I can barely keep my eyes open too. Supposed to work this last week, but im hoping i dont make it to the weekend. Keep me posted. Good luck to all of you!!

I'm jealous! You're internal sounds so promising! I learned in my baby prep class that your cervix has to move forward in order for the baby's head to align with the cervix and vag. Sounds like you're moving right along!

I had my hemalogost app't. today. Like all day. So, my platelet numbers went up again which is a very good thing, but they want me to come in once a week til I go into labor. I'm so relieved about that and glad that they'll continue to monitor me. If they go down again, then they'll give me steroids to try to boost them.

Anyway, based on Friday's internal, no dliation, cervix is still in the back and nothing is happening other than the baby dropping. I've been more crampy, swollen and tired. I hope these last few weeks fly by!

38 wks on the nose.... I have my doctor appointment tomorrow.

I have been having a lot of contractions and back pain in the evening, but by morning they are gone! Booooooooooooooooo

I still feel her head in my lala every day.... It makes it so hard to walk. I feel like I could sleep right now at any and every point of every single day.

I will post an update tomorrow after my doctor's appointment.

Well, today is my due date and no baby yet I had a doctor appt this morning and I am 2cm and 80% effaced. I started bleeding pretty heavily after the appt and it is now spotty. Irregular contractions on and off but nothing to note. I go for a sono on Thursday to check my fluids and the weight of the baby. Hoping something happens before then.

I'm still here and I'm SO ready to have this baby. I feel like I'll be pregnant forever.

38w5d and only one centimeter as of Thursday, which was no change from the prior week. I feel like a have a tentant in this condo I've created for him, and he never wants to come out!!

If one more person asks me "so, when is he finally coming"? I will be slapping someone for sure.

On a good note, Friday is my last day of work until May.

37w2d and have my next appointment tomorrow. I was hoping to work until 40w but now I'm praying they put me out tomorrow because I feel very uncomfortable at work.
Had an internal last week - no signs of anything. I know that he'll be better off the longer he stays in, but the pressure in my yoo-ha is unbelievable. I feel like a whale when I walk and every morning when I walk into my office at least three people ask, "What? No baby yet?"
On a good note, the nursery is finished - all his clothes are washed, folded, put away, the hospital bags are packed, and the car seat is installed. Now it's the waiting game...

I'm 37w5days. Having Braxton Hicks contractions like mad & some back pain, but I have to say I really can't complain, I feel pretty good. Except that because of the GD, I have to go in for non-stress tests twice a week, plus side is I have a sono each time They think the baby will be like 23inches & over 9lbs, which is frightening. I'm having my baby in like 11 days- it is so weird to know exactly when & how it's happening (unless he comes early- which he's not). Good luck everyone! Feel good (as good as possible)!

Just posted my update in a separate post. Amnio tomorrow morning at 8:30am (38w) to confirm maturity of the lungs and, if all goes well with that, cesarean at 10:30am on Wednesday (38w 1d)

I'm 37w5d and I had my internal. I still have a soft cervix - whatever that means.

The baby is VERY low and the doctor said "if your water breaks go right to the hospital and call us asap because the baby is very low", My water didn't break with DS and I'm thinking that might mean that this little bugger could come quick. I only had a 10 hour labor with DS and it should be half with the next - who knows what's true. Last time I was 4 centimeters and didn't feel it or the contractions so m DH is worried that I won't know when I'm in labor - I think I'll know.

I told DH that we need to get busy - that's what opened my cervix at 37 weeks last time.

I want the baby to be born on one hand and on the other I'm nervous to have the baby.....

I am 37 weeks and 2 days and am feeling really uncomfortable! Tomorrow I have another internal and growth sonogram..we will see how big he is his. I am feeling the most pain in my shins when I walk to work. It gets so painful.

Hey Ladies! Just wanted to let u know that I bailed-out on you.....it turns out that due to my late-onset pre-eclampsia, I was destined to be a JANUARY MOMMY!!

Yes, that's right. Baby Matthew has arrived. It was long, painful and SOOOOO worth it!

Good luck to all of you. Trust me, it's worth the wait. I've never felt so in love with ANYTHING in my entire life. I'm completely smitten.
