Fed up with cookie sheets and 9x13 pans. Help.

All my cookie sheets get so ugly and rusty.

Why? Is there a solution? Another material that is better?

I've also converted from non-stick 9x13 pans to glass ones (which I find are amazing..albeit more pricey). I really don't like non-stick material.

Please recc. me some products.Chat Icon

I think its the fat/butter. Have you tried a silicone pad?

Yeah, mine all look nasty, too. You can usually line with parchment paper or a silicone pad, like the pp mentioned, like Silpat.

I love my Pampered Chef baking stone sheet. It's great, everything cooks evenly. It gets darker the more you use it.

I have separate cookie sheets for cooking things like frozen pizzas and fries and then for actual cookies. NOTHING besides cookies goes on those cookie sheets. I have trained my husband!Chat Icon

Ditto !

I have one cookie sheet that I use stricktly for the broiler. It is ugly as sin but clean. Once oil or fat gets burned onto a sheet, it never comes off and using a brillo pad only makes it worse.

I love my silpats for baking - so worth the money.

Mine are nasty too but they are airbake and I like how things cook on them.

So I always use them with parchment paper. It makes it way easier to transfer things off of the cooking sheets anyway!

I have a chicago metallic cookie sheet that has held up SO well over the years. Plus, if you bake cookies with parchment paper, that really helps.

Re: Fed up with cookie sheets and 9x13 pans. Help.

I buy disposable aluminum pans and spray them with non-stick spray.

I'm not a true baker so these suit me fine.
