Felt Like A Horrible Mom Last Night
Taylor usually has a last bottle around 8:00-8:30, so when she was crying, I immediately made her a bottle, she started drinking it for a few seconds and started whipping her head around, she seemed like she wanted it but never took it.
We tried everything, she is also teething so she was a little warm, we tried the baby ora gel, tylenol, walking her around...DH even took her outside. About 2 1/2 hours later, I tried to give her the bottle again, she took it for about 2 minutes and stopped, but it looked like she might have just been chewing on the nipple b/c it was still full.
PS....The nipple was clogged and nothing was coming out!! This poor baby was probably hungry for hours and was trying to let us know something was wrong.

You didn't know.  We all confuse their signals sometimes. You're not a horrible mom!! A horrible wouldn't be so upset about it.

That's happened to me too...or I am trying everything I can think of to stop the crying, rocking her, binkies, walking her around for what seems like forever only to realize its a dirty diaper! Its hard when you're tired and the crying makes it hard to think... You're not a horrible mom, just a human one.

I've done that a few times.....  More often with new bottles, but sometimes even older ones clog or reseal or something. You shouldn't feel bad. You did figure out the problem. DD won't remember, and she loves you just the same.

I did the same exact thing a few weeks ago. I was so frustruated DD wouldn't eat and was just screaming and then I realized the nipple was clogged....DUH!
