Ferberizing right now and I can't take her crying....

OMG I put her in at 7:35pm, her eyes were closed b/c she had her baba...she woke up when I put her down or she wasn't fully asleep...I patted her back and said mommy loves you , nite nite in stern voice...then she screamed and I went in b/c I could tell something was wrong, she was stuck on side of crib, I moved her then timed it for

3 mins... screamed ...went in, patted her back...mommy loves you, nite nite, left

5 mins later still screaming, went in....same thing

now on the 7 mins...and still screaming....do I keep doing this and adding 2 mins each time??

I feel so bad...help!!

So after 7 minutes I went in, still screaming, she vomited...so I had to take her out, change the sheet, wiped her face b/c it wasn't on her PJs, surprisingly....put her back in the crib w/ her mobile on...left, screamed again bad ..I was afraid she was going to vomit again so I went in, patted her back and she fell asleep...I am sure the crying for 30 mins. helped her get tired..but at least I tried this...I think I need to go in more often like do 2 mins..then 3 mins..then 4...we shall see...I feel so bad.

I am not 100% sure, but i think since you are at 7 minutes now and I am assuming this is your 1st night. You keep going back in at 7 minutes.

No advice.....Just

I was never able to do CIO with DS....too painful for me! If you dont make it no worries, they eventually develop better sleep patterns as they get older with or without CIO.

Thanks, Yes I have seen the thread but wanted so others opinions too from more recent. Well she did vomit a little, I changed her sheet and cleaned her up..back in crib, put mobile on, cried went in, patted her back, and she was out cold!! I feel terrible....2morrow nite i will try it again....ughh I feel so bad...

IMO and my pediatrician do not ferber! just don't go in AT ALL!! gives false hope... let DC cry! may take 2 hrs to go to sleep but it works! My DS is the best napper and sleeper since 6 months because of this.....

Read the book. It helped me stay motivated. I would sat there listening to my dcs cries and read the book that told me why it is so important to sllep train your baby. It really helps you stick to it and fully understand what you need to do. Too many peopel think it is just about timing your visits in bedroom.

night 1= 3 min, 5, 7, 10 , 10, 10 etc

night 2= 5 min, 7, 10, 10, 10 etc

night 3= 7, 10 10 10 etc

each night gets better- I've been there. Night 1 is the hardest but stay strong- it's worth it!
